WHAT IS THE BOBCAT FUND?

The Bobcat Fund is the name for Churchill Road Elementary PTA’s direct-donation fund.  It is a one-time contribution per family, in lieu of countless PTA fundraisers throughout the school year (think wrapping paper, pizza kids, chocolate bars…).  It can be given at any time during the school year, and in any amount.

WHAT IS OUR GOAL FOR THE 2017-18 SCHOOL YEAR?

Our goal is $48,000 for the year.  

WHY SHOULD I CONTRIBUTE TO THE BOBCAT FUND?

First and foremost, you should contribute because you take pride in your school.

In 2017-18 the PTA will spend over $90,000 – around $100 per student – on programs that make Churchill Road an exciting, vibrant and thriving school, such as:

  • Technology upgrades, early math and reading intervention resources, and school-wide licenses for Reflex Math
  • Teacher support, staff development, teacher incidentals, and Staff Appreciation events
  • Family social events like the favorite Backyard BBQ, Parent/Teacher Basketball Game, Bingo, and Family Movie Night -- and this year the CRS 60th Anniversary celebrations
  • Academic/enrichment programs:  Environmental Studies, Artist Workshop, Science Olympiad and Special Education funding
  • Assemblies, field trips, student performances, 6th Grade Party, Reading Rodeo, Ancient History Day, Colonial Day and Spelling Bee
  • Campus upgrades such as laptops, playground equipment, and stage curtains
  • "Go Home Notes" database
  • School and family support: Churchill Cares, student patrols, Mediation program, landscaping and more!

The Bobcat Fund is THE primary means by which we fund these programs. Our goal is to enable parents and volunteers to focus on our kids and school -- NOT fundraising.  So please join the vast majority of CRS parents who will fund their family’s allocation of the PTA budget by making a TAX DEDUCTIBLE donation of $100 per student.
