Programs & Activities

The CRS PTA sponsors and runs a variety of programs and activities for students and families. Interested in volunteering to help? Academic Enrichment:

  • After-School Activities (ASA): Our PTA runs classes and clubs for students after-school - currently with sessions in fall, winter & spring. Learn more about ASA
  • Artist Workshop: This PTA run program presents curriculum topics through the perspective of fine art examples with 5 workshops (taught by parents!) during the school year. Learn more about this program and how to sign up to volunteer (you must log-in to access this page).
  • Geo Bee: The Geography Bee is coordinated by a parent volunteer and held during winter for students in grade 4 and up. Learn more.
  • Integrated Arts Assemblies: We coordinate with teachers & staff to sponsor assemblies throughout the school year for students. Learn more.
  • Reflections: CRS participates in the National PTA's annual Reflections contest, celebrating the arts. Entries are typically due in October. Learn more.
  • Spelling Bee: The Spelling Bee is coordinated by a parent volunteer and held during winter. Learn more

Family Events:

  • Backyard Barbeque: The CRS PTA organizes and hosts this family favorite event, usually in the spring of each year. Learn more.
  • Parade of International Cuisine: Students and families celebrate culture from around the world with this potluck dinner event. Learn more.

Other Events:

  • Book Fair: Each fall, the CRS PTA hosts a multi-day Book Fair for the school. Students browse the Book Fair during a scheduled class time, and can purchase books during their scheduled class buying time. Parents are welcome to stop by and shop the Book Fair. An evening shopping event is part of every Book Fair - with food, books, spirit wear and more! Learn more.
  • 6th Grade Party: Our PTA organizes an end of year party for our graduating sixth graders. Learn more.

Other Programs:

  • School Supplies: Each spring (starting May/June) & summer, parents can order pre-packaged school supplies (per the CRS list of supplies for each grade) that will be delivered to their student's classroom. Learn more.
  • Yearbook: During the fall, parents can pre-order a yearbook for their student while joining/renewing their CRS PTA membership. Yearbooks go on sale again in the spring. Learn more.
