Summer Camps at Churchill Road

Registration for Summer Camps for 2019 is now open! All 9 camps are led by Churchill Road teachers! Both full day and half day camp options are available. Camp status will be updated regularly (1x/day update) to mark confirmed or full camps - check your camp below.

Plus if you register before 5/31 you will be entered into a drawing to win a family package for up to 6 family members to attend one CRS PTA community event of your choice. Will it be Family Movie Night, BINGO Night, Backyard BBQ, or our big event - the Bobcat Challenge Parents vs. Teachers basketball game? Be sure to submit your camp registration by May 31 to be entered into this drawing!

Summer Camp Policies and Procedures:

  • There is a $15 dollar cancellation fee if you need to withdraw your registration. If you need to cancel your registration, or change camp that your student is currently registered for, please contact [email protected].
  • If a camp needs to be canceled due to a conflict or the minimum enrollment was not met, you will be contacted and given the opportunity to move the registration to a different camp (and pay the difference in price if applicable) OR a refund check will be issued in full within two weeks of cancellation. Camps that have already met their minimum enrollments will have a note of "CONFIRMED" next to the session dates.
  • Students do not need to be attending CRS to attend the camps (but must be in one of the specified grades, as applicable). 
Note: The PTA has to close the financial books for our annual audit starting June 30th. During the audit, checks are not able to be issued. All refund requests and refunds for class cancellations will be issued after the new budget is adopted on Back-to-School Night.

Full Day Camps

Art Camp: Hosted by Mrs. Wallace. For Rising 2nd-8th graders. 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. $310 per session.

Dates: Session 1 July 15-19 (CONFIRMED), Session 2 July 22-26, Session 3 July 29 - August 2 (CONFIRMED), Session 4 August 5-9 (FULL).

Unleash your imagination this summer! Strengthen art foundations skills in drawing, painting, clay, fiber arts, printmaking and more! You will explore new art materials in a supportive and fun environment, utilize technology with lessons on photography and Stop Motion Animation and even customize your own Art Camp t-shirt! Every week of Art Camp is unique. Register for multiple sessions throughout the summer for an immersive art experience! For questions, contact [email protected].

Bobcat Sports Camp: Hosted by Mr. Varhol. Rising 1st-6th graders. 8:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. $310 per session except for Session 1 (4 days) $250 and Session 3 (3 days) $190. 

Dates: Session 1 June 18-21 (CAMP IS FULL; no camp on 6/17), Session 2 June 24-28 (CAMP IS FULL), Session 3 July 1-3 (CONFIRMED; no camp 7/4-5), Session 4 July 8-12 (CAMP IS FULL), Session 5 July 15-19.

Spend part of your summer exploring sports and athletic activities. Each week, campers will get to participate in a variety of indoor and outdoor games and sports skills. In addition, time will be dedicated to other physical activities and games including scooter board activities, the rock wall, invasion, tag games, and so much more! Tell your friends! Nature Camp: Hosted by Mr. Woler. Rising 5th-7th graders. 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. $310 per session.

Dates: Session 1 June 24-28, Session 2 July 15-19 (CONFIRMED).

If you love outdoors, this is the camp for you! You will embark on inspiring field trips to different gardens and nurseries around the area and enjoy a hike in Great Falls National Park. You will get to take part in a create-your-own-bonsai workshop led by a bonsai master, learn how to bring nature into your home, and have the opportunity to start your very own indoor garden while participating in a number of nature-inspired crafts! Along the way, we will discover the animal and plant life in our own backyards and learn how to identify them in the wild. For questions, contact [email protected]

Nature Camp JUNIOR: Hosted by Mr. Woler. Rising 2nd-4th graders. 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. $310 per session.

Dates: Session 1 July 8-12 (CONFIRMED).

If you love the outdoors and aren't quite old enough for Nature Camp, don't worry! Mr. Woler has designed this junior version just for you! You'll go on exciting field trips to different gardens and parks in the area, learn about and start your own take-home garden, discover the local wildlife and keep a personalized scientific journal of your findings, and participate in a number of nature-inspired crafts and activities. Bobcat Games - Unplugged!: Hosted by Ms. Brown, Mr. Kipatrick, and & Ms. Deluca. Rising 6th-8th graders. 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. $310 per session.

Dates: Session 1 June 24-28, Session 2 July 8-12, Session 3 July 15-19, Session 4 July 29 - August 2, Session 5 August 5-9.

Do you love challenging board games? Do you enjoy using strategy and testing your brain?! What about Escape Rooms!? If this sounds like you, come join us for some fun this summer at Bobcat Games: Unplugged! During the week, students can expect to play board games, learn techniques for problem-solving, and cooperatively engage in fun competition. We will even go to an Escape Room to put these new skills to the test...with some added pressure! For questions, contact [email protected].

Rise Up Summer Theater Camp: Hosted by Mr. Ericson & Mr. G. Rising 4th-7th graders. 8:30-3:30 p.m. ($300 per week, 2 weeks per session)

Dates: Session 1 Weeks of June 17-21 & June 24-28; Session 2 Weeks of July 8-12 & July 15-19.

Mr. Ericson and Mr. G will once again be hosting Rise Up Summer Theater Camp. Students will engage in vocal training, acting games, and choreography sessions as they put together a show made up of Broadway's best songs. Each two-week session will culminate in a performance for parents and friends. Half Day Camps

Cooking Camp: Hosted by Mrs. Alvarez. Rising 3rd-6th graders. 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. $260 per session.

Dates: Session 1 July 22-26 (CONFIRMED; 4 spots left @ 5/20 9 AM), Session 2 July 29 - August 2 (CONFIRMED; 2 spots left @ 5/20 9 AM).

Do you watch cooking shows like The Kids Baking Championship or Master Chef Jr.? Would you like to learn the techniques and discipline that could make you a culinary star? This camp will give you the skills you need to prepare home cooked meals and desserts that will wow anyone! Get ready to create some fun - yet challenging - recipes that you won't be able to sink your teeth into! For questions, contact [email protected].

STEM Camp: Hosted by Ms. Dyer. Rising 5th-6th graders. 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. $210 per session.

Dates: Session 1 June 24-28, Session 2 July 8-12.

Do you love science, technology, engineering, and math? If so, join Ms. Dyer for STEM summer camp! At STEM camp, students will learn about and implement the scientific method, the engineering design process, and will have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of engineering design builds and hands-on experiments. Math Camp: Hosted by Ms. Hamlin & Mrs. Lackey. Rising 3rd-7th graders. 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. $210 per session.

Count Me In is a summer math camp designed just for girls. This unique approach sets girls up for success for providing a place to practice, create, and compete in math in an engaging, supportive setting. We will also focus on building Mathematical Mindsets. The girls will share their thinking, embrace challenges, and learn new strategies from others. This summer, let's show your daughter that she can have fun - and feel confident - doing math!
