DIGITAL WELLNESS + ONLINE SAFETY
Helping kids build healthy relationships with technology can start long before they have their own phone. These resources can help families navigate smartphones, screen time, apps, online safety and responsible technology use.
WAIT UNTIL 8TH
Thinking about when to give your child a smartphone? Wait Until 8th helps families delay smartphones until after 8th grade and makes it easier for families to make that choice together.
The Fairfax County School Board has formally encouraged FCPS families to wait until after 8th grade for smartphones as part of its focus on healthy, age-appropriate technology use.
Families can learn more and take the Wait Until 8th pledge or read more from FCPS about the initiative.
