Room Parent Program
Being a Room Parent is an important part of our CRS community and provides volunteer support to our teachers and students. Room Parents are also part of a larger team of parents who support an entire grade level to keep everyone connected and cultivate a fun classroom culture.

Room Parent Orientation
The orientation session with the Room Parent Coordinator was held on September 15, 2021, at 7 p.m. Once orientation is complete, teachers meet with the grade-level parents to discuss plans for the year. The Communications Coordinator of each grade will organize the planning meeting.
Note: Materials from the orientation are sent via email after the meeting.
Room Parent Responsibilities
May include but are not limited to:
Support your child’s teacher with classroom responsibilities that they would like to delegate by pooling volunteers.
Act as a liaison between the teacher, other grade-level parents, and the PTA.
Act as an activities coordinator classroom and grade-level celebrations by helping with scheduling, supplies needs, and recruiting volunteers.
Provide additional support to teachers as needed.
Help coordinate parent volunteers for PTA and other school-wide events.
Please involve as many parents as you can in all class activities throughout the year. Sharing responsibility builds our school community, encourages a strong home-school partnership for our children, and will make each experience easier and more fun!
