Room Parents at Churchill RoadAs a Room Parent, you are an integral part of our CRS community and provide volunteer support to our teachers and students. Room Parents are also part of a larger team of parents who support an entire grade level to keep everyone connected and cultivate a fun classroom culture.

Room Parent Orientation

  • The orientation session with the Room Parent Coordinator will be held in-person on September 11 at 7pm.
  • Once orientation is complete, teachers will meet with the grade-level parents to discuss plans for the year.
  • The Communications Coordinator of each grade will organize the planning meeting.
  • The Treasurer for each grade will be responsible for managing the Class Funds. 

Room Parent Responsibilities

May include but are not limited to:

  • Support your child’s teacher with classroom responsibilities they would like to delegate by pooling volunteers.

  • Act as a liaison between the teacher, other grade-level parents, and the PTA.

  • Act as an activity's coordinator for classroom and grade-level celebrations by helping with scheduling, supplies needs, and recruiting volunteers.

  • Provide additional support to teachers as needed.

  • Help coordinate parent volunteers for PTA and other school-wide events.
