After School Activities (ASA) Program

Our After School Activities (ASA) program offers many different fun classes for students to participate in throughout the school year. ASA has three sessions - fall, winter, and spring.

Registration Dates - Opens on 9/3 for PTA Members

  • PTA members - Wednesday 9/3 at 10am 
  • General registration for non-PTA members - Friday 9/5 at 10am 
  • Registration Closes - Friday 9/12 11:59pm

Grades 1-3

  • Mondays - Sep 22 – Dec 8, 2025 (except Oct 13, Oct 20, Nov 3)

  • Tuesdays - Sep 30 – Dec 9, 2025 (except Nov 4, Nov 11)

 


Grades 4-6

  • Wednesdays - Sep 24 – Dec 3, 2025 (except Oct 29, Nov 12, Nov 26)

The Game of Go is an ancient board game from East Asia. People have been playing for three millennia. It trains focus, patience, problem-solving, and sportsmanship. Why learn Go? It's easy to learn, takes a lifetime to master, inclusive for all ages, and relevant in the age of AI. Come join the CRS Go Club!

Craft Club 1st-3rd - $325
  • Schedule: Fridays - Sep 26 – Dec 12, 2025 
  • Led by: Ms. Amatucci and Mr. Kearns
  • Max enrollment: 15
Craft Club (Grades 1–3): Join us for a fun-filled afterschool Craft Club where creativity comes alive! Each week, students will explore new hands-on projects like animal shape weaving, air clay items, painting, and more. Crafts are designed to spark imagination, build fine motor skills, and encourage teamwork. All supplies are provided—just bring your creativity!
 

PTA members receive priority registration, and classes fill up quickly and early, so be sure your membership is up to date for early access! 

 

An on-site coordinator (Ms. Amatucci) will be at school on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons to help with logistics.

Bobcat Theater

Presented by the Rise Up Theater Company. Participants (grades 3-6) prepare a Jr. version of a Broadway musical performed in June. Rehearsals provide students with intensive vocal, acting, and dance training.

Chess Club

Our popular chess club is for students in grades 2 to 6. Instructors from the U.S. Chess Center teach chess to improve our students' academic and social skills, emphasizing sportsmanship and learning to think.

GOTR NOVA

Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run (GOTR) is for girls in grades 3-6. Practices combine an innovative and fun curriculum designed for pre-teen girls. The goal is to encourage positive emotional, social, mental, and physical development.

Math Kangaroo and MATHCOUNTS Program. Both programs heighten students' interests in mathematics by making mathematical achievement challenging and exciting.

Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad offers students the opportunity to improve their understanding of STEM and work together in teams to learn new skills. Division B is for grades 5-6, and Division A is for grades 3-5.
