spelling bee details

• The CRS Spelling Bee is recommended for students in grades 3 to 6.
• Students in grades K-2 can compete, but please keep in mind the content for the CRS competition is designed for grades 3-6 (we want participation to be fun for your student).
• The CRS Spelling Bee is held in late February. The Top 20 Students from the written round will then advance to the oral round.

• The winner of the oral round will represent Churchill Road at the Fairfax County Spelling Bee! 
  • The Fairfax County Spelling Bee is expected to be held in March (date TBA).
  • In addition, the Fairfax County Spelling Bee winner will earn the right to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee during Bee Week.
