Helping Hungry Kids
Helping Hungry Kids of Northern Virginia (HHK) provides roughly 1,300 bagged weekend meals a year to kids on free and reduced lunches who would not otherwise be assured of a meal when they aren't at school.
Among the participating Northern Virginia Schools receiving these meals is Dogwood Elementary, our sister school in Reston.

VOLUNTEER
This community service project wouldn't be possible without YOUR support! We also need parent volunteers to help us make this event work! Want to join your student in the assembly? Join us! Don’t have a sixth-grader but would love to pitch in? You’re also welcome! Sign up to volunteer
Donations for meal assembly
These meal bags require shelf-stable food supplies – and lots of them! So we're inviting all students to donate food for this project. Students can drop off food donations from May 9 to May 20 in the gray bins located throughout the school. Donations can also be dropped off at the Bobcat Spring Celebration on May 13. To ensure these bags have all the needed items, we’ve created a sign-up form for donations, and we’ve broken down the needed items by grade. Sign up to donate food
One weekend meal bags include 2 breakfast items, 2 lunch items, 2 dinner items, 2 snack items, and 2 milk boxes.
