The CRS PTA is a 100% volunteer-run organization. We can support so many wonderful activities for the CRS community because parents pitch in to help.

Volunteer to Help at Lunch

Miss the days of swinging by the school and seeing your kiddo at lunchtime? This could be your chance! To keep students as spaced out as possible during lunchtime, we need 3 parents per 1-hour shift (3 shifts per day) to serve as additional lunch monitors. Easy!

Committee and Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities

We have many different committees and individual roles supporting our PTA. Want to know more? Check our committee roles and responsibilities. We can always use another helping hand in any area, so if you are interested in a position not marked as "open," don't hesitate to raise your hand!

Open Roles for 2021-2022

  • Advocacy Committee Chair: Advocate for our community with local officials and keep our community informed on relevant issues.

  • Assemblies Coordinator: Plan and coordinate school assemblies for students.

  • Churchill Cares Coordinator: Provides support to CRS for coordinating assistance for families in crisis.

  • Community Service Committee: Interested in helping to organize events to support our local community? Join this committee!

  • Event Coordinators (Backyard BBQ): Organize one of our fun and popular family events!

  • Grant Opportunities Coordinator: Organize and prepare grants for funding opportunities.

  • Parent Education & Resources Committee Chair: Plan and organize speakers and sessions for parent workshops.


Every two years, the CRS PTA conducts its Long Range Planning Survey to help guide the direction of the PTA for the next two years. The committee develops the survey and presents the results to our members. Interested in joining this committee? Contact Shelli Bushman at president@churchillroadpta.org.


Each year the CRS PTA appoints a Nominating Committee, made up of 3-5 volunteers. The committee's mission is to put together a slate of officers and committee chairs for the 2022-2023 school year to be presented to the PTA membership for election in the spring. If you are interested in serving on the Nominating Committee, please contact Shelli Bushman at president@churchillroadpta.org by January 31.
