Robotics @ CRS

What is First Lego League?

  • First Lego League (FLL) is an alliance with FIRST and Lego, which offers students the opportunity to build a robot and write code to complete mission tasks, as well as creating solutions to real-life issues.
  • Students work in a team-environment to complete the challenge set forth by FLL, while demonstrating the Core Values, which "emphasize[d] friendly sportsmanship, respect for others' contributions, teamwork, learning and community involvement."1
  • In the Fall, team get the opportunity to showcase their robot and present their creative solution in a tournament against local teams.
  • Themes and challenges are changed every year so that students continue learning new ideas and concepts.
  • This season theme is BIOGLOW, where teams learn about various ecosystems.
  • Students who are interested in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM), will enjoy participating.
  • Students will be mentored by the Langley Saxon Robotics Team.
